The
Secret Life of a High School Senior
By
Brianna Stanley
Week 24:
It’s the first full week of
school since we got back from Christmas break. It hasn’t snowed at
all, and I’m glad. I’m getting tired of snow and all this cold. It’s
making me sick.
School is the same old boring
routine. I’m getting tired of it too. I do the same thing every day.
It’s so monotonous and just…boring. I’m ready to break free from
routine. I want to do something spontaneous or something that I
don’t normally do every single day.
There was a plus to this week:
I got my prom dress on Saturday. It’s orange and really pretty. I
need to get it altered sometime soon though. This weekend I’m going
to the movies with some friends hopefully. I’ve been looking forward
to this pretty much all week, and if our plans get canceled I’ll be
pretty upset.

Week 23:
We almost went to school for a
whole week. We didn’t go yesterday, but we should have. There was
barely any snow at all, and it all melted before 2 o’clock.
My week was another pretty
uneventful one. I found out my physics grade, and I really need to
bring it up. A lot.
I’m hoping the weekend will
bring something eventful.

Week 22:
This past week was a lot
better. I’m still a little stressed out about school. Well, I’m
stressed about the only hard class I have anyway. Physics…gag me. It
didn’t really matter about school though, since we had the whole
week off. The only day there was school was Friday. It was the same
way last week too, except I didn’t go to school last Friday because
I was sick.
My Valentine’s Day weekend was
good. I saw Dear John on Sunday (Valentine’s Day), and I really
liked it. I read the book before I saw it, and of course there were
some changes, but overall it was a pretty good movie. I saw it with
my boyfriend and three of my other friends.
I’m glad my week was better
than the last. Being sick and bored is no fun.

Week 21:
So, as
you know, Danielle Miller is longer writing secret life because she
moved. I get to write now, and honestly I don’t really know what I’m
doing. I’m just going to go with the flow here, and hopefully my
words will come out right.
Not much
has happened in the last week. We got out of school for snow on
Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Those were some pretty boring days. I
basically lounged around the house in my pajamas with my friend for
three days.
My week,
overall, has been boring. I’ve felt a lot better too. I seem to be
really confused lately and kind of lost. I’m really hoping things
will start looking up soon.

Week 20:
When you turn 18 you think
I’ll finally be free to move out and do all the things you
haven’t been able too, then it happens and reality sets in.
You don’t have a job, no car, nothing, what do you do? I
stayed home, and suffered until last weekend. I was kicked
out of my house for the last time, and I am living with my
best friend right now. With no job, no car, I was mooching
off her. I did the only thing I knew I would have success at
I’m moving back to my hometown in Georgia, it’s a little
town called Grayson. I’m so terrified of what’s going to
happen, but what choice do I have? I’ll miss everything and
everyone here, and I plan on coming back to visit hopefully
for graduation, but things won’t be the same. I thought and
thought about other options but I have none, and I won’t
stay here and live off people, I need to make a fresh start.
I’ve been saying my goodbyes, which is the hardest thing to
do at this point; I’m so close to so many people it’s hard
to imagine my life without them. I’ll miss some of my
teachers, especially the ones I’ve had several times and who
have put up with my unique behavior. I’ll miss the school
and everything I hate about it. I’ll even miss this town,
even though it has done nothing for me, and there is nothing
to do here.
I have realized though that
with this sort of new beginning I can make myself into the
person that I want to be, with none of my family struggles I
had before. I won’t miss my mom or anything involved with
her, but I will miss something’s about my home life, like my
retarded dog, and the stupid guinea pigs, but there isn’t
much to miss there. My friends have been my strong point
while I’ve been here. I’ve more than likely annoyed the crap
out of all of them but they have helped me be strong. They
have also helped me turn into the person I wanted to be,
even when I was in the darkest point in my life. Kentucky
has helped me become strong, and turn into who I am, and the
people that I met here will always stay in my mind with me.
My best friends are the
people I have looked up too and I will always remember the
littlest things like walking in five degree weather, Fred
and George, third block, and being stupid. I will however
shocking this is miss my ex, he has been a major part in my
life and I did and still do cherish the good times we had.
He was a great boyfriend, and an even better friend. He
probably knows the most about me and even though we don’t
talk or get along that much, he is still an amazing person.
I will miss this place terribly; I wish I didn’t have to
leave. I wanted to graduate from here, and finish school off
with some of the greatest people I’ve ever met.

Week 16-19:
Thanksgiving break, came very
quickly for me I went to school for one day, and came back for a
whole day. The day we got out my friend picked me up from school
and we hung out with a few more friends later on. Thanksgiving,
I ate entirely too much food and then slept the whole time.
Christmas break came around and I slept
most of the time. I went to my bestest friends house for a week
of it. We pretty much did nothing we talked slept, and played on
the computer. I went home after a week and slept. There was a
snow day the first day of school so I got an extra day to relax.
Christmas I ate so much food, especially cheesecake. I didn’t
see my family at all until Christmas Day night. I slept most of
the time I felt so wore out.
New Years Eve came around and me and my
friend went to our other friends house, which was down the road
from me, and unfortunately also down the road from my ex. We
played Imagine If and then proceeded to have a rave party in the
living room. The clock struck twelve, and there were pots being
banged together, and then horns honking. It was great. My phone
and two other people’s phones weren’t working, I finally got all
of my texts at three in the morning, and it was odd. The most
surprising thing happened, my ex that I have had no contact with
decided he would send me a forward, I wasn’t happy about it. I
ended up staying up that whole night, I couldn’t get
comfortable.
We started school on a Tuesday and I was
happy with my classes until I got to second, the one person I
really didn’t want classes with I had one class with. Everything
else went okay that day. Wednesday I was not as happy to be
there, but I made it through the day. We missed Thursday and
Friday which I was thankful for. Friday started off Battle of
the Bands, and I ended up with an old friend and then Saturday
two of my other really good friends showed up and I hung out
with them and that other person, and Sunday, the final day,
wasn’t exciting. There was no one there and I had a headache. I
was mad about who won, they shouldn’t have won, but then again
hopefully next year the band that deserves it will win.

Week 15:
It’s life and it
sucks. High school just needs to end. The drama is just building up
and I keep making mistakes that are effecting me.

Week 14:
Influenza, that’s what the doctor said
I had. I missed an entire week of school. I had to pretty much be
isolated. The doctor put me on some medicine called Tami flu, it made my
symptoms worse. I woke up and would take the pill and be more nauseated
than before. I would walk and become extremely dizzy. I felt worse and
worse every day, I thought I would never get better. My life consisted
of playing games and sleeping. I rarely talked to any of my friends, and
I was like a hermit for a change. It was a very odd week. I was excited
to go back to school.

Week 13:
Frustrations of graduation are coming closer and
closer. I have to write a research paper on what I want to do career
wise and everything, but I can’t really think of anything I
absolutely want to do. I am not going to my graduation, and everyone
seems so angry about that. I just want to get out of here I don’t
want to walk up on stage just to receive a folder it’s pointless to
me. I just want to get out and forget this place. I want to attend
college here for the first two years, so it’s cheaper when I do
transfer to whichever school I choose. My friendships are changing
too and I’m not really sure I like it all too well. Being a senior
is more difficult than I thought, there are a lot of emotional
changes and a lot of rearranging that goes on in my thought process
of my life. Oh the joys.
The Secret Life of a High School Senior.
By: Danielle Miller
Week 12:
I have so many decisions,
and I want them all to decide for themselves. College is beginning to
not look like an option. I do not want to even be in school anymore.
I’ve considered dropping out, but I know that will get me nowhere. I
went to a party over the weekend and it opened my eyes to how much I am
changing. I didn’t even enjoy myself at it. I’ve never even had that
happen. I talked to a friend about it and she told me that maybe I am
starting to become a different person. I still want to leave the state
after I graduate, but I’m not sure I will. Everyone I talk to thinks I’m
just confused and I know I am. I’ve just been dealing with a lot I
guess.

Week 11:
So life isn’t where I
want it to be and I’m still clueless about my future. I applied for
a job, but I didn’t get it. Halloween is this weekend, and for once
I’m not looking forward to it. I have a costume, I’m Alice in
Wonderland. I went to see paranormal activity, it scared me to
death. Everything seemed so real and the movie was done like a
documentary. There is nothing to look forward to but nothing to
complain about, I just seem stuck in a place I don’t like.

Week 10:
The weekend was eventful, but one that
I will forget, or try too. Monday came around and as usual I didn’t want
to get out of bed, so I tried not to. I eventually got up and went to
school against my better judgment. Job hunting is proving to be almost
impossible, no one is hiring and I absolutely need a job. Tuesday I was
in a horrible mood and I didn’t really talk to anyone, I just wanted to
go home. The Swine Flu is getting bad; they need to shut our school
down. There are so many students missing and a bunch that are getting
sick. I kind of just want to be out of school for a little bit so I can
sleep. I have against my better thoughts started talking to one of my
friends who I don’t want in my life; he just goes against everything I
do. Wednesday is slow but a good day. In our second block we talked
about how it’s our senior year and it’s kind of sad to think about it.
I haven’t figure out what I want to do with my life yet, it’s all just
too confusing. I don’t exactly know what I want out of life yet, but I
kind of want it to be a surprise. This weekend I want to go to the
movies though with my best friend, this is going to be a great weekend.

Week 9:
Monday comes and it goes
by so quickly. There are little events that happen. Tuesday is the
college fair which was a bunch of fun. We went to the community college
and walked around learning about the different schools. Another thing
for college, life can’t get anymore confusing. We had fun at that and
eventually we left. They took us out to lunch. My group of people that I
was with went to Burger King. We all ate and found some crowns and wore
them. There were pictures being taken everywhere. After this little girl
left the play area, we went in there. We hung out in the tubes and took
pictures went down the slides and just had a great time. I tried to
climb back up the slide and failed, but I do have a nice bruise to show
for it. We were the last people back on the bus and then it was back to
school. Wednesday I stayed home and slept all day, I don’t know why
exactly but I just couldn’t get up. Thursday I went back to school and
nothing exciting, just a lot of questions to where I was the other day.
Friday came and we had our senior pictures inside due to the cold wet
weather outside, I hate cold weather. Thos weekend I don’t plan on doing
anything, I just want to relax.

Week 8:
Fall break can be summed up in one word:
Terrible. I spent the first days resting and I went to
homecoming game and had a blast. We took loads of pictures and
goofed off. Sunday I hung out with a friend, we sat down by the
lake and talked mostly. Monday came around and when I woke up, I
felt like someone had taken nails to my throat. I couldn’t stop
coughing and I froze no matter what I did. I didn’t leave my
room that day. Tuesday I was even worse. My mom decided to yell
at me by the middle of Tuesday, saying that I was faking things
and that I needed to stop laying around, I really hate her
sometimes. Taking out my industrial has become a debate, I have
a bump that appeared beside my ear, and I think I have broken
cartilage. There are many things that could go wrong but this is
something I don’t want, this is my all time favorite and I don’t
want to remove it. Thursday night I woke up and I felt worse
than ever, plus I could barely breathe. Friday they pulled my
room apart and I didn’t have a room until Sunday night. I
actually looked forward to school, just for something to do.

Week 7:
School, school, and more school. Last full week until
fall break, it excites me. Again we have made plans to go camping.
It had rained everyday this week, unfortunately. It doesn’t even
feel like fall here. Not that I’m complaining I’m enjoying the warm
weather. This week has been a slow week. I’m surprised nothing
exciting has happened. I saw Taking Woodstock Friday, I was
disappointed with it, and there was barely any music involvement in
it. Camping was canceled, it rained all weekend. I got into
argument with my mom; everything with her is all about my future,
and what I want to do with my life. I told her about getting my
tattoo and she freaked out, like she does every time I get a new
piercing. I really just want her to back off of me. I will go in
which ever direction I chose.

Week 6:
Busy, busy, busy, is the
only way to express my week. I have been going back and forth trying to
get things accomplished for my senior memory book and for other classes.
I have been slacking and it shows. My Monroe is still missing, I plan on
getting it done soon, and I just never seem to have the time. I have
begun to realize that I have been missing out on a lot where I was
so involved with other things last year. The week overall has not been
as exciting as I would like to think. We had On-demand testing, which I
was a little nervous about. We did however get to watch A Series of
Unfortunate Events in second, that is the only thing we’ve watched
in there besides school house rock, but only because I hadn’t seen it.
This weekend I plan on doing nothing but sleeping, I have wore myself
out.
The Secret life of a High School Senior.
By: Danielle Miller
Week 5:
Things this year have taken an interesting
turn as you might say. This past week I successfully got kicked out of
my house, yelled at a sub, stood up for what I believe in and made a
bunch of people hate me. Monday I started arguing with my mom no
surprise there and it lasted until Wednesday when she kicked me out. I
didn’t leave though I wasn’t about to do what she told me to do. Friday
came as a surprise when we had a sub and I disagreed with him on just
about everything. He was so stupid. He took thirty minutes on everyone’s
name, who does that? Then after he told us to write a paper on something
that had nothing to do with the class, I told him no. He starts in on
me, I defend myself. He then proceeds to pull me out in the hallway and
cal me ignorant and says that I need to conform to what he believes is
right. First off I don’t do that for anyone but me, what makes him so
special? He continued to point me out in class, and I continued to argue
with him. I just do not see the point with people like that, it’s my
life I need to live it my way. Friday a friend needed something and I
knew that I could ask my ex to get it, I slipped up and said it was for
a guy and he changed his mind, we had a nice little chat, I don’t see
why I put up with him, he is a jerk and a liar. I went camping with
those friends later, and we go and get a girl who just moved here, I
told her the guy I liked and she starts in all over him, I don’t
understand people like that. The weekend was a long one but a good one.
I’ve never had so much fun.
The Secret Life of a High School Senior.
By: Danielle Miller
Week 4:
September is already here,
seems like August was never here to begin with. Everything in school
seems so routine, it’s like the same thing everyday. I continue to argue
and get in trouble for not standing up for the pledge, but it seems so
pointless to do it everyday. I believe that it loses meaning to do
something everyday. I only do it on days that it needs to be done on,
for example 9/11. I don’t believe that people should make a big deal
about it. The people in the classroom seem to like to talk about it, of
course not to my face, which I guess comes as no surprise. There is a
lot of tension between me and my family and some of my friends even. It
seems that people don’t like my openness. My mom and I fought till no
end the other night; it looks like I’ll be kicked out before graduation.
This weekend will be the last three days that I work, until I find
another job. I started talking to another guy, but he was just a jerk
like all the other ones. He literally didn’t have any type of thought
process, at all; he had a good sense of humor though. I haven’t heard
anything from any of my family members down south regarding the death of
my great grandmother, I know there is a great deal of problems going on,
but of course no one will talk to me about it. This week was an exciting
one, hopefully things calm down soon.
The Secret Life of a High School Senior.
By: Danielle Miller
Week 3:
Things are so abnormal
as of late. I recently found out that my ex cheated on me. I went
through such an emotional change because of him; I just can’t take
it anymore. My friends think it’s for the best but I just can’t see
it. My parents have me on an upward battle to get out of my house
sooner than graduation. I hate that I get yelled at all the time. I
plan on leaving as soon as graduation is over. I’m considering
taking a year off and “finding myself”. I guess that is what you
would call it. I want to spend some time doing things that make me
happy. My friendships seem to be shifting and changing. I kept in
close contact with many of my friends from my home state, but as
soon as school started it seems I have lost contact with them. I
have only a few more weekends left to work, then I have to get
another job, since my parents put the responsibility of my car and
insurance in my hands. I got my "monroe" pierced, it’s swollen a
little but its not as bad pain as my industrial. I plan on
re-piercing my lip when my "monroe" heals up. My friend Regina’s
party was okay. I finally went to the bowling alley for the first
time it wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be. I actually
could have lived without going there.
The Secret Life of a High School Senior.
By: Danielle Miller
Week 2:
The second week of school comes as no surprise, I feel
horrible from the past weekend. My head feels like it is spinning, and
my stomach feels weird. My best friend and I are talking again finally
after months of silence. Things seem different though; my enemies seem
to look for more in-depth ways to bring me down. Tuesday, I find out
about a party that I won’t be attending because I have to work. One of
my best friends is leaving to go see her boyfriend who is graduating
from boot camp. I hear from her every now and then. She is engaged, but
her mom will not sign for them to get married, she has to wait until she
is 18. I have to play catch up on work that I have been putting off, my
senior memory book brings up too many things that I want to forget.
Childhood memories are not always the easiest for me. Friday I miss
school, I feel absolutely horrible. My stomach is severely upset.
Thursday is when it got bad, I ended up with a bad headache, and then it
went downhill from there. Thursday night my ex-boyfriend texts me
wanting to hang out. I want to but it never happens. The weekend comes
and so does work…..joy.
The Secret Life of a High School Senior
By: Danielle Miller
Week One:
Senior year, finally
it's here. The week before is as horrible as it gets. My parents are
constantly yelling at me about college and what I want to do with my
life, when I don’t even know yet. The first day of school roles around
and everything that had happened the week before seems to disappear. The
freshman class seems larger than imaginable. There are 307 of them.
There are more than the previous graduating class. My schedule was
screwed up to the point that I spent most of my day in guidance trying
to work things out. I need to take Spanish one and two, but I just can’t
seem to bring myself to do it. I saw my "exe's" best friends, and no
surprise there were "things" were yelled at me. I figured some things
might be different this year, but they aren’t, big shocker. Everywhere I
look there are changes and nothing seems to be normal. I am finally the
senior; there is no one above me. There is also the stress of finding a
college. I’m not the greatest student and I know I’m going to have a
hard time with getting a college to accept me. It also seems like I’m
the only person that wants to leave this place. I want to get out of
this town and get away from these memories that seem to follow me.
There is construction everywhere, it has ruined our plans to eat
outside, no one is happy about this. Friday finally roles around and
it's time to party, and work. I do both of these, by Monday morning I’m
exhausted.
George + Tree
Once upon a time in a far away land, there was a
moose. His name was Robert and he liked to golf.
He like to golf so much, he became a pro night
golfer. Robert and Tree were very distant
cousins. Then one day Robert called Tree to see
if him and George wanted to go golfing. Of
course Tree and George said yes, so off they
went too far away land.
Once they got there it was dusk and all of the
day monsters were getting off of work and that
is a very dangerous time to be out, so they
decided to wait until the next night to go
golfing.
The next night rolled around and off they went
on to the course. Tree went first, then George,
and then Robert because he didn’t want Tree and
George to get offended by his mad skills. Once
the game was over Robert of course won and he
decided to treat George and Tree to a nice warm
bath lunch.
The Misadventures of
George and Tree
So, Tree and George are still at the
beach. They still have their freshly pierced lips. So,
the new grand plan would be to get a new tattoo! They
both decided to get angel wings on their backs, because
everyone knows that they are complete angels.
They decided to get their wings to cover
their whole entire backs, and this tattoo took a longggg
time to do. It took about two days of needle work.
After they were finished Tree and George
loved their new art and fell in love with it.
The Misadventures Of
Fred and Tree
Once upon
a time,
There was
a dragon named Tree.
He used to
be a penguin;
Obviously
he’s a shape shifter, you see.
Tree liked
his dragon form best
Cause he
fit in more
With his
best friend
Whose name
was George?
George was
a prehistoric lizard
He was the
coolest friend ever
They did
everything together
In any
type of weather
One bring
summer day
George and
tree went on a trip
They went
to the beach
And then
George pierced his lip!
Tree was
sad when George pierced his lip
Tree
didn’t have any money
Be he
wanted his lip pierced too
And he
didn’t think it was funny
George
being the good friend he was
Told tree
what to do
“I’ll do
it for you!” –he said
Now I can

Fred and
Tree!
By: Hollie
Thomas
Well, there are
a few things that I have forgotten to mention over the past few
stories. For example, you may have realized that Tree has
started out being a fuzzy penguin and now he is a dragon. There
is a simple solution to this, Tree is a shape shifter and he
might change is from now and again.
This week’s
adventure is all about Tree putting George in time out. It all
started in school and George was being incredibly annoying that
day and Tree wasn’t having it. After George started a food fight
in the lunch room Tree just decided to go all out and just put
George in time out. OH NO!
Well, while
George was in time out he done a lot of thinkin’. He decided
that he was going to think before he done stupid stuff and made
his bestest friend mad at him.
The Misadventures of
Fred and George + Tree!
As you know this
series of short stories have always been about a dinosaur named
Fred and a prehistoric lizard named George. You also know that
recently that they have met a fantastic brown and lime green
dragon who goes by the name of Tree. There is one thing that you
don’t know, though… Fred has cancer of the butt and he is going
to have to go to Milk-walk-iee for treatment. I know what you
are thinking and Fred is going to be okay but he will have to
stay in treatment for the rest for his life; yes Fred really
does have butt cancer.
Anyways… Fred is no longer going
to be in our lovely creative stories. Even though part of the
heart of the story is leaving, and it will be greatly missed. We
have found a donor for the other half of the heart; which is
Tree by the way. This story is going to be all about George and
Tree saying goodbye to Fred.
It was a stormy day when Fred
found out “The News”, George was devastated. George has had a
lot going on throughout the past few weeks and now he is losing
his best friend… oh great. Even though Tree hasn’t known Fred
and George very long he still is sharing the pain about Fred
leaving. Everyone is going to greatly miss Fred, but Fred will
be in a better place where he can follow his dinosaur ways.
On the day that Fred left it was
very solemn, at least they all have their friendship tattoos to
remember each other by.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! (Sniffle)
=’[
THE MISADVENTURES OF FRED AND GEORGE
Well, winter break is over and we
are back in school. This goes the same for Fred and George. They
had an amazing time over the break. Most of it was pretty boring
but other times were full of excitement. Fred and George made a
new best friend, they got tattoos with their new best friend,
and they went to Battle of the Bands.
First in all of
Fred and George's wild winter break adventures they met a fluffy
penguin named Tree. Tree just moved into town and they met at
the tattoo parlor when Fred and George were getting their
friendship tattoos. Fred and George clicked right away with Tree
and they all got matching sprinkle doughnut tattoos on their
tails.
It’s time to ring
in the New Year at Tree’s house. She had this amazing fun party
that was pretty wild. We all had this neat-o rave party and we
ate bunch of junk foods and we also played this pretty sweet
game.
About a week later
or the New Year party, Tree moved in with Fred and George and
once Tree was settled in they had a grand ole’ time just being
lazy creatures until the weekend of Battle of the Bands. Battle
of the Bands in FariyTown Land is quite a big deal. Many of the
local bands have been discovered and became fairly famous; for
example, Peaty and the Soaps. Anyways Fred, George, and Tree all
decided to go and support their favorite local bands. Not many
people showed up and their favorites didn’t make it to the
finals or did they win but they all had a grand time just
spending quality time with each other and their friends from
school and some that they don’t get to see so often.
Fred, George, and
Tree’s winter break wasn’t as exciting as some but they all
enjoyed it very much. =]
The Misadventures
Of Fred and George
It was a normal day at school; Fred,
George, and all the other little creatures were sitting in their
classes when all of a sudden… BAM! Something hit the floor. All of
the bored sleeping creatures jumped out of their seats and ran into
the hallway to see what the ruckus was. There was glass scattered
everywhere from the stuffed case fell. The stuffed case was where
the school kept the entire prize winning stuffed animals was kept,
anyways. There was glass and stuffing everywhere the case was broken
and all of the animals had their head ripped off! Fred and George
were wondering what in the world happened so they decided to
investigate.
They went home and started to piece
together the information that they had. First they heard some weird
voices and scurrying sounds out in the hallway before the incident.
Second, when everyone rushed out into the hallway Fred swears up and
down that he seen a little something’s running away. Third, there
was a bunch of stuffed animals gone too. While piecing all of this
information together Fred and George they came to the conclusion
that SCHOOL GNOMES were up to no good again.
School Gnomes, they eat your pencils
and poop on your paper; so watch out!
The Misadventures
Of Fred and George
Fred and George are still in Dreamland
this week because of all the hard school work that they have been
doing. Fred and George are in hibernation mode for this week.
The Original Misadventures
Of Fred and George
So, Fred and George ventured off into the warm
darkness of the cave. They were wearing their hot pink and lemon
yellow footie pajamies. The laid down the sleeping bag and got
settled with their pillows and blankets. Somehow this wasn’t good
enough for Fred and George; they started cuddling together to keep
warm. Off to happy lovely dreamland for Fred and George until next
week.
Fred and George Get Their Report Cards
Well, it’s about that
time of the year; the leaves are falling, homecoming is over, and
the nine weeks is coming to an end. Everyone is scurrying around to
try and get their grades up so their parents don’t punish them.
Fred and George have some really good grades these nine weeks, so
they don’t really have to worry about bringing up their grades.
When the end of the
semester came around Fred and George weren’t that confident about
their grades. They were both freaking out. When they received them
in the mail they were both relieved that they didn’t do as bad as
they though they did. Fred and George were both on the honor roll,
but the reason why they thought that they had bad grades was because
their teachers had piled on the work the last nine weeks of the
semester.
This goes to show that
you may think you’ve done badly at something but really you didn’t
do as bad and you always have to watch out for teachers and their
mysterious assignments.

Adopting a Pet
One day Fred and George
were walking through the Fairytown Land community park and
they realized that a lot of their classmates had pets. The
most popular pets that their classmates had were lions,
tigers, and bears, oh no! Fred and George wanted a very
unique pet; one that was fuzzy, cute, vicious, and loveable.
After long speculation Fred and George decided to round
themselves up a harp seal. So, they went down to the local
pet store and bought a baby harp seal.
They brought their new
friend home and they were stuck on giving the little fellow
a name. They went through a million books on names and
finally they decided to call their baby harp seal BUTTONS!
Fred and George converted their extra bathroom in to a
winter wonderland for little Buttons. They let the bath
water run and the sink water run until about everything was
covered in water and then they froze everything to where it
was slippery and magical. Once Fred and George had
everything put in place they let Buttons go check out his
new room. He absolutely loved it.
After Buttons got settled
in Fred and George decided that they were going to take Mr.
Buttons to the park. When Fred, George and Buttons arrived
at the park they were all the center of attention because no
one in the whole land has a baby seal named Buttons.

The Haunted House of Doom
So, it is the month of October
and according to my calendar Halloween is occurring this month.
Everyone knows that during the holiday of Halloween that you can
dress up as anyone that you want to be and pretty much be
someone else for a day. Well, as of all the creatures in Fairy
Town Land they all have a different idol, or something that they
would like to be for a day. Fred and George have decided to be
twins. The real question is twins of what? Fred and George
decided to dress up as Thing One and Thing Two from Dr. Susess’s
wonderful creation The Cat in the Hat.
It is the day before Halloween
and there is a haunted house in Fairytown Land. Fred and George
wanted to visit the haunted house the day before Halloween
because on the day of Halloween Fred and George are preparing
for their Trick and Treating extravaganza and the feat
afterwards.
When Fred and George arrived
that the haunted house the first thing that they seen were the
implanted graveyard out front. Then whenever they got past that
the house itself was horrid, the windows were glowing green,
there was creepy sounds coming from the back area, and the whole
house just look suspicious. Fred and George cautiously walked up
to the front door, they knocked, and you know how in the movies
and an actor walks up and knocks on a creepy door and it just
opens? Well, that is what this door done. Walking inside they
pulled out their flashlights and started to investigate. They
first saw a gigantic spider, and after seeing that they ran out
of the house and went home.
I know this is stupid, but I
thought it was funny inside my mind. =]

Autumn
Vacation
Well, it is mid October in
Fairytown Land; the leaves are falling, all the witches,
goblins, and monsters are coming out hiding for the season.
Also, it is time for autumn vacation at the, Magical Power
Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School for Awesome Creatures.
All of the creatures and their families have plans for the
days off. Fred and George have decided to go to a concert
and spend some quality best friend time together.
It is the second day of
autumn vacation and time to travel to The Land of Candy
Moose for their concert. Fred and George are attending a
Peaty and The Soaps concert; they play techno electronically
enhanced music. Fred and George enjoy them very much; you
can even go as far as saying that Fred and George are her
biggest fans. Fred and George paid fifteen hundred riches
for these tickets; but their tickets were special. They got
backstage passes and Fred and George get to hang out with
the band for the rest of the day.
The travel to The Land of
Candy Moose wasn’t that far from their home, especially with
their enhanced time travel device. When Fred and George
arrived everything was packed. Luckily they had special
tickets and got inside and got their seat before a lot of
people. Whenever the concert started Fred and George were
very close to the stage and they got to take some really
good pictures and have the most amazing experience ever.
Fred and George’s favorite song that Peaty and The Soaps
played was their new hit single “Bubbles.”
The concert was over in a
flash, and Fred and George were backstage hanging with
Peaty, Hairy, and Mole. They talked about everything from
food to school to boogers and moose feet. It was a very
lively time and Fred and George enjoyed every second of it,
until they had to go home.
When Fred and George had to
leave Peaty gave them a signed pair of his undies for a
keepsake. As soon as Fred and George got home they found a
frame to put the signed undies in it above their couch in
the living room.
Part two for Fred and
George’s autumn vacation wasn’t as exciting but it did bring
two best friends even more closely. Fred and George both
have a love for odd art; not only paintings and drawings but
sculptures and food art. So one day Fred and George decided
to visit the local art museum. They spent hours just gawking
at all of the abstract things they came across. Since George
has a passion for time travel Fred decided that he wanted to
share that passion with his best friend. So, Fred and George
used their new enhanced time travel machine to travel all
over time.
This was the extent of Fred
and George’s autumn vacation. It was well needed.

Fred and George Go To Bed
It
was sleepy time in Fairytown Land and all the little creatures
and their parents were getting ready to go to bed for the night.
Fred and George were doing the same, but their bedtime routine
was a little different than the other creatures. Instead of
brushing your teeth and having a story read to you by your
parents, Fred and George watched TV until they each fell asleep
where ever they may land. Each morning they both would wake up
very tired and groggy, but everyone else would wake up and be
refreshed and it would be like being a new person all over
again. Fred and George were wondering why they would always be
tired and everyone else would be energetic and happy. They
decided to go to the sleep doctor and see what their problems
were. They told the doctor their sleeping habits and the doctor
stopped them and told them that they need to go to bed in a bed,
go to sleep at a set time, and to make sure that you don’t eat
junk food before bed.
Well, after going to the doctor
and getting some new advice they tried sleeping like the doctor
told them too. Over the next few days Fred and George were very
satisfied with their results; so, from then on Fred and George
slept healthier so they could be refreshed and energized
whenever they woke up.
Fred and George have a message
for all of the youngsters out there who are reading this and
they suffer from the same sleeping problems. They need to do
what Fred and George done so they will be more alert, refreshed,
and energized.

Homecoming!
It is
the week of the homecoming game. You know what that means? Well,
I’m sure you don’t because you have never attended The Magical
Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School for Awesome
Creatures. Tradition in this school is that the week of
homecoming every creature has the option of dressing for the
days themes leading up to the game. For this particular week,
Monday is dress like your best friend. Tuesday is dress like
your favorite drink. Wednesday is hat day. Thursday is dress
like your hero. Finally Friday is wearing your schools colors.
Fred and George always loved dressing for sprit week and since
they were seniors they were going to go all out this year.
Monday came around and since
Monday was dress like your best friend Fred and George decided
to be one another. Fred bought some bright yellow body paint and
George bought some hot pink body paint. They both went into each
other’s room and borrowed each other’s school uniforms and
shoes. By the time that they were done they looked shockingly
like the other. Well, that gave Fred the amazing idea that they
were going to switch places for the day and see if they go
caught. They didn’t tell any of their friends what they were
doing and by the end of the day they successfully accomplished
switching places.
Tuesday the creatures had the
option of dressing like your favorite drink. Fred decided to be
a mango blueberry slushy and George decided to be a strawberry
banana milkshake. Fred wore to school some orange pants and a
blue sweater. George wore yellow pants and a pink sweater. They
both decided to tie together a whole bunch of straws and put
them in some hats so when they put them on it looked like they
had a straw in their drink.
Wednesday is hat day! Fred and George took
a trip to the hat store right after school on Tuesday afternoon.
They saw many different sizes, shapes, colors. They saw hats
with spiny thingies and shiny thingies. Nothing compared to the
hat that Fred and George picked out though. Fred’s hat was the
tallest hat in the building, it was tie-dye. George’s hat was
very tiny, but it had multicolored light bulbs on it. Let’s just
say they had the coolest hat in the whole school.
Thursday Fred and George were
dressing like their heroes. Fred decided to be Tinky-Winky. So,
he dressed in all purple and he had a really neat hat with an
upside down triangle on it. George decided that he was going to
be Scooby-Doo. So, he bought some brown and black body paint, a
teal collar with a gold charm, and some dog ears and a tail. He
painted his whole body brown with black spots, he put his ears
and tail in place, and collar. Everyone loved their outfits.
Friday, it finally here and
everyone had to have some type of school spirit for the game.
The school colors were… ALL OF THEM! So, Fred and George decided
that tie-dye shirts, pants, socks, and shoes would be the best
way to cover that. Well, in the process of making their shirts,
pants, socks, and shoes they both accidently dyed their skin
too. So, on Friday every aspect of Fred and George was rainbow
tie-dye.
Later that night the game was
going on. Magical Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School
for Awesome Creatures was facing Oggie Boogie Booger Monsters.
Now, the Magical Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School for
Awesome Creatures had a pretty good team but the Oggie Boogie
Booger Monsters were pretty beast. Needless to say that the game
didn’t go that well. UNTIL the final quarter and the Magical
Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School for Awesome
Creatures pulled through and won at the last minute.
The Original Misadventures
Of Fred and George
By: Hollie Thomas
It was autumn in the magical place
of Fairytown Land, leaves were falling and all the little creatures
were getting ready for another year of school. Fairytown Land’s
school was called the, Magical Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming
School for Awesome Creatures. As you can tell this is one cool
school name and the actual school is even better. This year is a bit
different, all of the students have to follow a dress code, they
have installed new high tech lockers, and the new lunch menu is
quite odd.
So, beginning the first day of
Magical Power Broom Flying Jousting Swimming School for Awesome
Creatures Fred and George had a very difficult time choosing their
fist day back to school outfits. The new dress code was that all
students had to wear khaki bottoms and some type of polo shirt.
Having that in mind, Fred decided that he was going to wear some
khaki pants with a lime green polo. George decided to wear a knee
length khaki skort and a hot pink polo. Whenever they arrived at
school everyone as very excited to see Fred and George; they also
thought that their outfits were the best thing that they ever seen.
Everyone else was wearing like navy blue, black and, white polos,
unlike Fred and George.
During their homeroom the teacher
was trying to explain how to use the new high tech lockers, which
was becoming a failure very quickly. Whenever the class went out
into the hallway to try and open their lockers, there were only a
few creatures that caught on quickly to the concept. Fred and George
were definitely not one of those creatures. Fred decided that he was
going to chew on his locker to get it open, needless to say that
Fred got in trouble.
So, now it is about mid day, you
know what that means? LUNCH TIME! Like I’ve said before this year’s
new cafeteria menu is odd, very odd. The menu includes sprinkles on
mashed potatoes, frosted flakes with peebutt butter and chocolate
syrup mixed together, pizza with eyeballs, and raw egg and bologna
sammiches, EVREYDAY! Sounds delicious don’t it?
Well, this really hasn’t been that
great of a misadventure but hey its school and frankly a dinosaur
and a prehistoric lizard in school is a very funny and challenging
thing.

The Great Jousting Event
While reading the Sweetly Weekly, Fred came
across and ad for the Medieval Fair that was currently being held in
The Magical Land of The Peanut Butter Munchkins. Fred continued to
read and as he read he became very interested in going to this
Medieval Fair. When he addressed George about the Fair he told him
about the jousting contest that was going to be held there, George
automatically became enthralled with the idea in going to The
Medieval Fair. They were off on another misadventure.
When they arrived at the fair they
first saw that everyone was dressed very funny. Well, considering
that Fred is a dinosaur and George is a prehistoric lizard, they
weren’t wearing any clothes. They seen a very interesting clothing
vendor and decided to take a look at what they had for them to wear.
While looking inside Fred noticed a dashing knights outfit and
George noticed a lovely corseted dress. =] They purchased their
outfits and they were on their way to the next activity.
“DuhDuh-Duh-DuhDuh-Duh-DuhTa” Fred
and George were wondering what in the world was going on. They
decided to ask an innocent bystander, the person told them that the
jousting contest was getting ready to start. Fred and George looked
at each other with a look of excitement and made their way to the
stadium. When arriving at the entrance of the stadium there was a
booth set up so you could sign up to participate in the jousting
event; Fred and George both signed their names to be on the same
horse.
The next thing they knew their
names were being called to joust against the four year reigning
champion. Even though Fred and George were very nervous they were
still excited. They got suited up with their armor and hopped on
their horse, Jitterbug. They took their places in the stadium, and
waited for Bruce, the four year jousting champ. Arriving ten minutes
later was Bruce! He looked at Fred and George dead in the eye with a
very threatening look. “The event has started,” announced the
announcer person. Bam! Jitterbug started sprinting towards Bruce and
his horse. Oh yeah, they both were carrying these huge pole looking
thingies. All of a sudden Jitterbug came to a halt and the crowd
started cheering excessively.
Fred and George opened their eyes and looked
back and seen that Bruce was laying on the ground, and at that
moment they knew that they had defeated the four year jousting
champion Bruce.
Four their great jousting skills
they go to eat supper with the Peanut Butter Munchkin Queen. At
their royal supper the Queen ended up knighting them for their
braveness. Fred and George went home knights for the Medieval Fair.

Co-written by: Danielle Miller
Well, just by reading the title I’m sure you’re wondering who in the
world are Fred and George, and what kind of misadventures do they have.
One day in Ms. Wilson’s class we were told to free write and this is
what Danielle and I came up with.
Fred is a hot pink dinosaur who loves sprinkles. George is a
yellow prehistoric lizard who loves to time travel. They both greatly
enjoy jousting together. The both live in a house in Fairytown Land on
Cookie Boulevard. Now, that you know a little about our characters we
can start with our first misadventure.
The Golden Sprinkles
One day Fred and George
were walking through The Forest of Colorful Plants, when all of a sudden
a magical mushroom popped up and started singing and dancing. This
magical mushroom was singing about some golden sprinkles. Knowing Fred,
he was totally like, “George! We have to go get the Golden Sprinkles!”
After saying that, the mushroom stopped singing and dancing and told
them that they had three obstacles to go through to obtain the Golden
Sprinkles. The mushroom told them that they had to complete an essay and
give it to the Writing Wizard, and then they must cross the crocodile
infested waters of Quick Sand Lake, and then finally they have to make
it through the Tremendously Terrible Temple. Fred didn’t care what he
and George had to go through to get the Golden Sprinkles; they were
going to do it.
After talking to the magical mushroom they went back home to
start on their essays. Whenever they got home they realized that they
didn’t have a subject to write about. So Fred and George decided to suck
up to the Writing Wizard. Whenever they completed their totally b.s.-ed
essays they were on their way to the Wizards house. They reached the
Writing Wizards place of residence about an hour after leaving their
house. They rang the doorbell and the Wizard answered, “Hello boys! What
can I assist you with today?” George replied, “We have our essays
completed for our quest for the Golden Sprinkles.” The Wizard took their
papers and went back inside to read them. Whenever he returned, he told
Fred and George that those were the best essays that he has ever read
and that he hopes they make it though the next step in their quest.
As Fred and George merrily skipped they found the crocodile
infested waters of Quick Sand Lake. They started to hop on the
conveniently placed stones. Until they ran out of stones to hop on and
they were in the middle of the lake. So, George got the great idea that
he was going to hop on the crocodiles heads to the other side. That is
exactly what he done too, Fred followed of course. Whenever they reached
the other side of the lake the last crocodile’s head that they hoped on
was bruised already in an unfortunate welding accident. Anyways, the
crocodile was very angry and chased Fred and George all the way to the
entrance of the Tremendously Terrible Temple.
When ever they entered the Tremendously Terrible Temple,
they aimlessly wondered around until George stumbled upon a great mound
of doughnuts and an ice cream fountain. After their junk food escapades,
they moved onward in their quest for the Golden Sprinkles. Still
searching through the temple, Fred stepped on a booby trap. From the
ceiling fell a huge ball of Twizzlers and bubble gum. This ball stared
chasing them, until they ran into a room. When they turned around they
saw the glorious Golden Sprinkles! Fred went up to the platform that
they were sitting on and stole them. With sprinkles in hand Fred and
George ran out of the Temple and went back home.
Whenever Fred and George went home they had delicious ice
cream doughnut sammichs with yummy golden sprinkles on them.
